We are happy to announce our first GAUSS Career Service workshop in 2020 - “Exploring the Unknown – The Company World” by Dr. Gaby Schilling.

This workshop is for postdoctoral scientist and late-stage PhD students who are currently applying or planning to apply for a position in industry. Getting to know different departments and their functions in a company and reflect about whether related jobs could be a good fit for your interests and profile are the goals of this workshop.

DFG Postdoc Funding - the Walter Benjamin Program

In July 2019 the DFG has launched a new Postdoc Funding Scheme – the Walter Benjamin Program enabling researchers in the postdoctoral training phase to independently conduct their own research project at a location of their choice for 2 years. The project can be carried out at a research institution in Germany or abroad, with the host institution providing support for the project. Applications can be submitted at any time.

Eppendorf Award for Young European Investigators (deadline: Jan 15, 2020)

Deutsche Krebshilfe Max-Eder Junior Group for 4 yrs (deadline: Feb 11, 2020)

The next call for the Max-Eder Junior Research Group by the Deutsche Krebshilfe is open until Feb 11, 2020.

Aiming at highly qualified young oncologists (physicians during or after the specialist training as well as scientists with an explicit clinic-oriented orientation of the project), who are not older than 35 years on application, this funding scheme is supporting them over a period of 4(+3) years in establishing their own independent working group and further develop their scientific career.
