Furthermore, the newsletter contains information about workshops and events offered by partners at the Göttingen Campus and information on funding opportunities and prices that might be of interest for doctoral students in Göttingen. For more information about each topic, please follow the links below.

Industry Excursions in February (application deadline 04.02.)

Two industry excursions to Göttingen based companies are offered in February by the GGNB to all GAUSS doctoral students.

The first excursion is heading to Carl Zeiss AG, Göttingen on 12 February 2019 from 09:15 - 12:30 h. On the 22 February 2019 from 13:00 - 15:00 h, Evotec, Göttingen will be giving a tour though their facilities.

Information on German language courses in the summer semester 2019

The “Lektorat Deutsch als Fremdsprache” of Göttingen University offers around 65 different German language courses in the levels A1 to C2 (2 or 4 hours weekly).

Funding Opportunities and Prizes

KlarText Award, Klaus Tschira Stiftung (apply by 28 February 2019)

Have you written an outstanding dissertation and are you very keen to explain your research findings in a clear and comprehensible manner to a large number of people, including those not familiar with your subject? Then write an article about your work and enter it into the competition for the KlarText Award for Achievements in Public Understanding of Sciences.
