GAUSS PhD Workshop: Higher education for natural scientists (30 May to 1 June)

There are still a few places left in the GAUSS PhD course “Higher education for natural scientists” taking place from Wednesday, 30 May to Friday 1 June 2018. If you are interested please see below for further details and how to register.

Target Group: GAUSS doctoral students – but it is also suitable for early postdocs

Goals and content: In the course you get an introduction to the fundamentals of academic teaching. Special emphasis is put on teaching in natural sciences and on the “Four Laws”. You learn basic models of academic teaching and learning, didactics and methodology and can apply them in your specific teaching scenario. You learn strategies for planning and implementation of a teaching unit. In addition, you acquire a basic knowledge about motivation, examinations, disturbances and feedback for the students.

Dates: Wednesday, 30 May to Friday, 01 June 2018
Duration: 3 days (9-17h on Wednesday and 10-18h on Thursday & Friday)
