Ursula M. Händel Animal Welfare Prize (up to 80,000€) – apply by 14 Feb 2022

DruckThe Ursula M. Händel Prize recognises scientists who have made exemplary and sustained efforts to improve the welfare of animals in research. This includes in particular the development of methods that contribute to the reduction, refinement and replacement of animal experiments.

Every two years, the DFG recognises one or more researchers whose work focuses on improving the welfare of animals. The €80,000 Ursula M. Händel Animal Welfare Prize is currently the largest prize of its kind in Germany and the current call is open until 14 February 2022.
