The profile
The ideal candidate is eager to explore developmental neuroscience and exhibits passion and commitment to science, easily learns new experimental methods and provides input to address challenging research questions. A PhD degree in cell biology or a related discipline is required. Experience in animal handling and cell culture (dissection, dissociation, cell culture) and protein biochemistry are essential. Image analysis, proteomics data handling, bioinformatics and electrophysiology are an asset.

Position
Position will be funded to standard German compensation schemes for 2 years (TVöD). We encourage the applicants to apply for third party funding (especially non-German PhD certificate holders), e.g. Humboldt University – Berlin Institute of Health Stipendium. We are flexible on the start date, but preferably in the first half of 2019. You will be working on identifying new signaling cascades regulating major aspects of corticogenesis, with a strong focus on neuronal morphology establishment and neuronal cell fate acquisition. The working language in the group is English.
