The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) invites applications for its third call within computational life sciences. This supports the development of innovative methods and software instruments from bioinformatics, modelling and simulation for their use in life sciences. The focus topic of the third round is machine learning for cancer research. This aims to evaluate biomedical research data more efficiently to support research on underlying physiological and pathological processes of cancerous diseases by using novel software instruments. Projects on the application of machine learning within medical engineering or patient care are not eligible.
