logo_ub_2021The University of Bremen has again opend a call for 3-year independent projects for postdoc – this time only for female scientists. You can apply when you are from Germany or abroad. Regarding the stage of your career you can either apply shortly after your PhD (the certificate needs to be issued max 10 months after the application deadline and not be issued longer than two years before the deadline) or as an advanced postdoc aiming towards a professorship (2-4 years after your PhD). Application deadline is 1 April 2022.

The offer is support in your scientific career and in the development of your own research profile. Postdocs in early stage right after finishing PhD receive the possibility to be responsible for and lead their own project. One explicit aim is the independent raising of third-party funds (“Eigene Stelle DFG” or “Emmy-Noether-Nachwuchsgruppe”).  The other target group, advanced postdocs, is to be enabled to conduct their own independent research projects in an optimally conducive environment, to network in their respective scientific communities, and to pave the way for professorships. Moreover, the Personnel Development Bureau and BYRD at the University of Bremen offer a range of customized offers to train a broad spectrum of personal skills.
