About the speaker: Cindy is an alumna of our PhD Program “Biomolecules: Structure – Function – Dynamics”. She performed her doctoral thesis in the Bioanalytics Group of Prof Dr. Kai Tittmannn (Department of Molecular Enzymology) and successfully finished her PhD in 2014. Right after her PhD Cindy joined the lab of Prof. Dr. Michael Müller (Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department University of Freiburg), who during her PhD already was a close collaboration partner. In Michael’s group Cindy  also held a position as project coordinator of the DFG Research Group in which she had worked before. Cindy started her professional career in the pharmaceutical industry when joining Pfizer in September 2015 as a Manager Site Compliance being responsible for several innovative as well as legacy products of the Pfizer Portfolio in terms of regulatory compliance at the manufacturing Site in Freiburg, Germany. In February 2018 she was appointed Team Lead of the Analytical Procedures Team within Site Compliance Freiburg and shortly after, Cindy took over the role as Team Lead of the full Site Compliance Team. (Jung und erfolgreich bei: Pfizer – karriereführer (karrierefuehrer.de) In January 2021 Cindy transitioned from the Quality Assurance to Quality Control and into her new role as Senior Team Lead of the Quality Analytical Services (QAS) group now responsible of method transfers and validation/verification analytics, including Stability Administration. In this role as well as her previous role Cindy is closely partnering with developmental colleagues when introducing new commercial products to the markets including new medicines for the Covid-19 pandemic, which can be quite challenging when supporting up to 150 markets as Pfizer absolutely is a global player. In this session Cindy will be sharing insights on her career steps and her experience. Of course, questions from your side are more than welcome.
