Workshop for female Postdocs: “Network building for a successful academic career” (20 Oct 2023)
The HR and Organisation Development Department of Göttingen university is offering a workshop for female Postdocs called “Network building for a successful academic career” on 20 October 2023. The workshop is given by Dr. Julia Schönbrunn and will take place at Heinrich-Düker-Weg 5, 37073 Göttingen, 2. OG.
Course contents:
- Relevance of a strategic network for female scientists, identification of the own type of network
- Networking vs. building networks
- Network mapping: Relationship maps for achieving academic goals, reflection and exchange on personal network status
- Systematic network building: tips for planning and implementing the relationship
- Self-Empowerment: Determining first steps (for follow-up session)
- Peer learning: Exchange tandems to “keep up” and prepare for the follow-up session
