Fellowships of the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg (apply by 15 July 2023)

The fellowships of the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg offer outstanding scientists the opportunity to focus on research without the distractions of everyday academic life, to exchange ideas with colleagues from other disciplines, and to benefit from a diverse and vibrant fellowship community.

Through its fellowship program, the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg promotes scholarships and research in the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences, benefiting not only the individual fellow but also the scientific community at regional research institutions. Funding for individual scientists is distributed among a number of fellowship opportunities of varying types and durations.

Regular and junior fellowships are currently offered in the four research areas of the HWK’s scientific program: BRAIN&MIND, EARTH, ENERGY and SOCIETY. Both types of fellowships are awarded based on a specific application process.
