Prize for Pain Research by the Deutsche Schmerzforschungsgeselleschaft (apply by 31 May 2022)
This award supports research in the field of applied research and implemented basic research that has made a significant contribution to the interdisciplinary practice-based therapy of acute and chronic pain. The award is preferably aimed at young scientists from the fields of medicine, psychology and natural sciences.
Applications may be submitted for projects in one of the following two categories:
- Category 1: Clinical research: for studies on patients.
- Category 2: Basic research: experimental work or work on test subjects.
Based on the jury’s decision, a first prize (€7,000) and a second prize (€3,500) will be awarded in each of the two categories. The awarding of the prizes and announcement of the winners will take place during the German Pain Congress of the German Pain Society (Deutsche Schmerzgesellschaft e.V.) in Mannheim (19-22 October 2022).
