DFG Clinician Scientist Kolleg “Cell Dynamics in Pathogenesis and Therapy” – call open until 30 April 2019

On behalf of Prof Matthias Dobbelstein, the speaker of the DFG Clinician Scientist Kolleg “Cell Dynamics in Pathogenesis and Therapy“ (Zelldynamik in Pathogenese und Therapie) based at the UMG, we are happy to announce the current call for this program, which is inviting applications until 30 April 2019. If you are a medical doctor or a postdoc working in the areas of natural and/or basic science, seize your opportunity and apply to this program!

The DFG Clinician Scientist Kolleg has set itself the goal of considerably improving the quality of training for young scientists in the field of translational research. To this end, the program is primarily aimed at medical doctors pursuing further education (“in Weiterbildung”) who will have the opportunity to devote themselves intensively and exclusively to research for a period of 18 months.

In addition, natural and basic scientists are also included in the programme. They can participate with the physicians in the joint support programme, which includes retreats, lectures and seminars, but also key competence workshops in science management and personal development. These activities are financed by the program; however, for basic scientists it is not possible to apply for funding to cover salaries.
