“KaWirMento – Career Paths into the Business Sector” – call is open until 15 Nov 2018!

The HR Development Department in close cooperation with the four Graduate Schools (GAUSS, GFA, GGG, GSGG) and the Section Business Contacts of the Department of Public Relations is pleased to announce the launch of the next round of its mentoring program “KaWirMento – Career Paths into the Business Sector”. The call will close on the 15 November 2018 – please apply here.

KaWirMento is a one-year program consisting of three elements:

  • One-to-one mentoring: During the entire program each participant will be accompanied by a mentor – a manager of an (regional) enterprise. The mentor will consult the mentees concerning career entries and perspectives for the future career.
  • Qualification: In a concomitant training program mentees will take part in workshops on career planning.
  • Networking: In further events (e.g. expert lunches) participants have the possibility to inform themselves about career perspectives and build up networks.

Application process

The call is open from 15 Oct to 15 Nov 2018 and the online application can be accessed via this webpage. Interviews are scheduled for Nov/Dec 2018 and the matching of mentees and mentors will take place in Jan/Feb 2019 before the program will start in March 2019. For participation in the programme fluent German skills are required.

Financial contribution
Program fee: 80,-€ (covers coffee/tea in workshops and catering at events. It does not cover lunches etc. during the self-organized peer meetings).

Target Group
KaWirMento is a mentoring program for Doctoral and Post-Doctoral reseachers of all Göttingen Campus’ Faculties who are interested in a career in the private sector. If you have already gained experience in the private sector (internships etc.) this is helpful for your application. All applicants are required to have a good command of the German language.
