The Else Kröner Forschungskolleg “Molecular therapy and prediction in gastrointestinal malignancies” at the University Medical Centre in Göttingen is looking for basic and natural scientists in the field of translational cancer research.
The aim of the Else Kröner-Forschungskolleg Göttingen is to improve the quality of education of young scientists in the field of translational cancer research and multidisciplinary oncology in the field of gastrointestinal malignancies. It offers a special training program for medical doctors, which supports linking scientific and clinical research questions.
Postdoctoral natural and basic scientists, who conduct research in the field of gastrointestinal malignancies, can take advantage of extensive training and development opportunities offered by this program. You will attend this program with clinicians and, within this framework of peer discussions you will be able to aim your scientific focus on clinical relevant topics and research questions.
The joint funding program includes retreats, lectures and seminars on fundamental content and methodological aspects, but also on innovations in the field of translational oncology. In addition, workshops on key competencies in science management and personal development will be offered. Regular and active participation is required.
