The GAUSS Career Service is happy to announce the first Career Impulse Session in 2019 titled “Strike a new path – from sequencing data to market data” with Dr. Kathrin Aßhauer from KWS Group.
Kathrin Aßhauer will show during her talk how she benefited from every educational step in her career and will give an insight into the diverse and interesting tasks of her current position as Manager Strategic Planning Quality Gate & Transition.

Information about the speaker:
Kathrin Aßhauer studied Biology and Applied Computer Science at the University of Göttingen. After her PhD in Bioinformatics, she was starting as a Business Intelligence Manager in the department of Business Development Corn at KWS SAAT SE in Einbeck in 2015. From December 2018 onwards, Kathrin continued her career in the Group Strategy at KWS. Today, she leads the development of a Business Intelligence Tool and supports strategic projects especially with her expertise in data analysis.

Our Career Impulse Sessions offer a platform for interactive and informal exchange about career-related topics for PhD students and Postdocs in the Life and Natural Sciences. By inviting PhD holders with different career paths, we would like to illustrate the broad range of potential careers for PhD students and Postdocs and give inspiration for career choices. The sessions also offer a platform to exchange experiences among each other.
