Lecture Series: Perspectives on / for the Junior Faculty
DGJ – The Association for Modern Career Paths in Science
Networking of scientists on the way to a professorship? Public exchange of ideas and discussions on a sustainable science system? Advocating for a better perception of junior professors in the science system? The “Deutsche Gesellschaft Juniorprofessur (DGJ)” does all this and much more. In a joint exchange, Jun.-Prof. Dr. Ingo Siegert (DGJ Board) will introduce the non-profit association, which is the only nationwide association of scientists in an early career stage (e.g. tenure-track professorship, junior professorship / qualifying professorship with and without tenure track, junior research group leadership, Emmy Noether Programme). The DGJ is in close contact with politicians (e.g. BMBF and state ministries), science organisations (e.g. Science Council, Junge Akademie) or university administrations. Interested parties are cordially invited to learn more about the DGJ and get to know its work.’
The event will take place online via ZOOM on Tuesday, 31.01.2023 from 12-13h and will be held in German. More information and registration: www.juno.hhu.de/en/workshops-and-events/tt-presentations
