The GAUSS Career Service is happy to announce the next Career Impulse Session titled “From Science to Start-up – founding a business as a researcher” with Dr. Florian Hauer, Co-Founder & CPO of Labforward.
Florian Hauer is an Alumnus of the Molecular Biology IMPRS and did his PhD in the lab of Holger Stark at the MPIbpc in 2009. After postdocs in the same lab and in the lab of Yoshinori Fujiyoshi, he started labfolder together with Simon Bungers, a fellow PhD student at the MPI-EM in 2012 with an EXIST fellowship. labfolder was incorporated in 2013, and has since then been growing to server more than 30,000 scientists from more than 160 paying organisations like for example the Max-Planck Society, The Charité, the NIH and many others. With the acquisition of cubuslab in 2019, labfolder became Labforward, an internationally leading company on laboratory digitization that helps laboratories and scientists to make more of their data.
