Funding available for scientific workshop between the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of Göttingen (deadline: Jan 19, 2020)
Within cooperation of the University of Göttingen with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the International Office of the University of Göttingen is calling for applications for funding for the implementation of a scientific workshop in Göttingen in 2020.
The following funds are available:
(a) the University of Göttingen can cover all accommodation costs for members of staff from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem up to 5000 €;
(b) the Hebrew University of Jerusalem can cover travel costs for participants travelling from Jerusalem to Göttingen up to 5.000 Euro.
(The hosting department in Göttingen will have to fund meals/coffee breaks from their own funds.)
This call is directed at scientific staff from all faculties of the University of Göttingen and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. These workshops are designed to intensify exiting relations and are regarded as an opportunity to discuss proposals to potential third-party funding bodies. The participants should, hence, consist of junior as well as senior scientists.
Please apply with an informal application prepared and signed by the both research teams involved in Göttingen and Jerusalem containing the following information:
- Topic of the workshop
- Targeted group of participants from Göttingen and Israel
- Target dates for the workshop
- Prospective goals and results of the workshop
- Perspectives for application of joint funding in continuation of the workshop
- Cost plan
Envisaging the workshop and its execution should take no more than three A4 sides.
Please be aware that the Göttingen International Office and International Office of Hebrew University Jerusalem cannot provide any organizational support in advance or for the duration of the workshop.
