Development professorships for women aiming for FH professorship, Osnabrück University of Applied Science (deadline: Aug 31, 2021)
The Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences has established a new instrument for the promotion of female, young academics – the so-called development professorships.
The Osnabrück development professorship is especially for women who already have above-average doctorates or are about to complete their doctorates to gain the three years of professional experience outside academia required for a professorship at a university of applied sciences without having to leave academia entirely. Accordingly, the position holder has a 0.5 TV-L 13 position at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences in teaching and research and a further 0.5 position with a cooperating practice partner. The 0.5 positions at the university are financed by funds from the “Professorinnenprogramm III” (raised by the Equal Opportunities Office), as female professors are still very much underrepresented in Germany (24.4% at UASs in 2019).
Deadline is August 31, 2021. Please, contact Svenja Knüppe (s.knueppe@hs-osnabrueck.de) from the research department at Osnabrück University for Applied Science, if you are interested in the program.
