Changes in the GAUSS Career Service Office – message from Stefanie Klug
Dear GAUSS postdocs and PhD students,
After nearly two years in the GAUSS Career Service we are sadly saying goodbye to Dr Britta Korkowsky, who is starting her new and exciting role as coordinator for the Campus Institute for Dynamics of Biological Networks (CIDBN) in September. Britta joined us in Autumn 2019, first as parental leave cover and then stayed on after I returned part-time. She did a fantastic job looking after our workshop and Career Impulse Session (CIS) program as well as the monthly newsletter. We all really enjoyed working with her and wish her best of luck for her future and hope we will stay connected.
Thank you, Britta!
From September onwards Dr Vera Bissinger will join the GAUSS Career Service again. You might know Vera already from here time in our office when she took over the counselling sessions during my parental leave from late 2019 to early 2021. She also led the Introduction Workshop for our Alumni Mentoring Program for the first round in 2019 and the second one just in July of this year. We are very happy that she is supporting us for the counselling sessions, which are incresingly popular, whilst I will look predominantly again after the workshop and CIS program, our Alumni activities and other new exciting ideas we want to introduce in the future.
Welcome back, Vera!
All the best,
Stefanie
