Hacky Hour – Open Science Göttingen
Dear students, researchers, and professors,
we are a group of enthusiastic scientists and librarians that want to convey Open Science principles in the scientific community in Göttingen.
Because of ever increasing datasets, problems in reproducibility, and the lack of training in computer/data science and statistics in many scientific fields we would like to establish a Hacky Hour here in Göttingen. The idea is to have an informal meeting, open to all, once a month with a topic related to computational tools, code, and science. We will also include hands-on sessions where we learn and apply new techniques or tools. Most importantly, we want to serve as a open discussion space for researchers, where you can bring your problem in one of these subjects and discuss it with others to get help. You can also find companions to join a professional or fun project.
