Bayer Pharmaceuticals Award from GBM for outstanding doctoral thesis

For the thirteenth time, the (German) Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (Gesellschaft für Biochemie und Molekularbiologie, GBM) is awarding a prize to young researchers for the best molecular biology doctoral thesis of the past year. The award, which is financed by Bayer Pharmaceuticals, is endowed with 1,500 euros. The winner must personally accept the prize during the GBM Spring Conference in Mosbach (2.-4.4.2020).

Theses on biochemical or molecular biological topics that were accepted in 2019 can be submitted. In principle, all bioscientists have the opportunity to apply. Applications are possible as well as suggestions from supervisors. The decisive factor is the above-average quality of the work; membership in the GBM is not a prerequisite.

The proposal should include:
– The curriculum vitae of the proposed young scientist
– A publication list
– A letter of recommendation from the supervisor of the prize-worthy work
– The contact addresses of the candidate and the supervisor, and
– The most important publications resulting from this work

Please submit the required documents informally in an electronic form. Please summarise all documents in one pdf file and send it to the GBM Prize Secretariat by December 31, 2019:
