Mindfulness Based Student Training (MBST 1.0) for doctoral candidates in the summer semester (start in Apr 2023 )

In the summer semester 2023, a 12-week intervention course is offered to support mental health of doctoral students – from personal and social wellbeing to systemic and ecological transformation (see flyer below).

The evidence-based course curriculum focuses on simple exercises that have a direct impact on everyday research practice including the challenges doctoral candidates face in times of disruptive transformation. The two main goals of the course are to teach the basic ABC of individual and social, systemic and ecological mindfulness practices and to help doctoral candidates integrate 15 minutes of mindfulness practice into their daily routines. Course participants are invited to share their experiences of the course material and mindfulness techniques with other members of the group. Personal exchange takes place both in the course and in the weekly dialogue meditation (dyad) with a personal “buddy” from the group. (This weekly, 15 minute meeting can be held live or via Zoom/telefone.) The process is further supported by the participants keeping a Mindfulness Diary.

The courses are free of charge.

There will be one course in English and one in German. Each course will be open for up to 25 participants.

The registration takes place via Stud.IP (from 1 March 2023) – links will be announced here.
