Workshop: With good scientific practice through your doctoral studies – what the ombuds office can do for you, 23 Nov 2021

Is it your goal to become a good scientist? Would you like to learn about the applicable rules of good scientific practice in general and find out which rules apply at the University of Göttingen? Are you looking for input to reflect on the importance of the rules of good scientific practice for your own PhD project? Have you ever thought about what you would do if you witnessed questionable research practices or were even affected by scientific misconduct yourself?

If your answer to any of these questions is “Yes”, you are invited to join the online presentation by the Ombuds Office. Katharina Beier will use practical examples to give a lively picture of the wide range of topics covered by good scientific practice, will give you the opportunity to discuss selected case studies and will respond directly to your questions with the opportunity for subsequent personal consultation.

No preparation is necessary for participation; however, it would be desirable for participants to install the free Dilemma Game app, developed by Erasmus University Rotterdam, on their smartphones.
