16th Horizons in Molecular Biology Symposium & 13th Career Fair (9-12 September 2019)

For the sixteenth time the PhD students of the MSc/PhD Molecular Biology Program – International Max Planck Research School at the University of Göttingen organize the International Symposium “Horizons in Molecular Biology” taking place at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry.

The symposium is designed to foster a multidisciplinary exchange between top senior scientists and young researchers from a broad field dealing with hot topics of Molecular Biology.

The Keynote lecture will be given by Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine 2017, Michael Rosbash (Brandeis University, USA).

Topics are:Horizons

  • Bioinformatics
  • Cell Biology
  • Developmental Biology
  • Molecular Genetics
  • Imaging
  • Membrane Biology
  • Structural Biology
  • Synthetic Biology

The Career Fair is always on the day before the symposium and brings together PhD students and postdocs with representatives of possible future companies to work at as a (molecular) biologist. The Fair is accompanied by interesting soft skill workshops.
