5th Night of Science, 9 Jul 2022

On Saturday, 9 July 2022, 5 p.m. – 12 p.m., the 5th Night of Science takes place in Göttingen!

More than 420 contributions at 34 different locations!

At the 5th Night of Science, the scientific institutions on the Göttingen Campus once again prove what they are made of: Discover what goes on behind the doors of lecture halls, libraries, collections and laboratories.
Transform yourself into a cubist work of art with artificial intelligence, reconstruct your own scroll, build Lego microscopes, explore the mathematics behind computer tomography, go toe-to-toe with stick insects and geckos, control a prosthetic hand yourself, explore temple construction in ancient Mesopotamia, and elicit insights about statistics and modern medicine from gummy bears.

For the first time, the Night of Science in Göttingen will take place in summer.
The hopefully ideal weather makes it not only possible to have outdoor activities, but also makes it easier for you as guests to explore: walk or use your bike to get from one location to the next.
As with the previous Night of Science, you must pre-register for particularly popular events with a limited number of participants – for example a visit to DLR – on the Night of Science homepage. The corresponding events are marked with a symbol.

Please note that because of the Corona pandemic, the main building of the University Medical Center Göttingen is not open for the Night of Science. Please pay attention to current information on hygiene measures immediately beforehand on the homepage, in the media and on the signs on site.
