Christiane Nüsslein Volhard Foundation supports female researchers with children, deadline 30 Nov 2021
The Christiane Nüsslein Volhard Foundation for the promotion of science and research once again supports highly qualified women with children in science. The aim is to faciliate the progress of excellent graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the field of experimental natural sciences by supporting them with funds to be used for additional childcare and/or domestic help. Especially in times of the Corona Crisis, when childcare isn’t always given, it can be extra challenging for female scientists to balance family duties with those of a researcher. By giving them the opportunity to gain greater flexibility and time for their scientific work, the Foundation wants mothers to have a better work-family-life-balance and this way hopes to contribute to advance more qualified women in Germany’s leading scientific research.
The funding amounts to 400€/month and is granted for one year, in monthly payments. Funding will start in March 2022.
Submission of Applications started in September, deadline: 30 November 2021
