Horizons in Molecular Biology Symposium 2017

This year, the 14th Horizons in Molecular Biology Symposium takes place at the MPI for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen on 11th – 14th September 2017. This international symposium is organized by PhD students. Each year it brings together young scientists from the Life Sciences to discuss the latest research, get to know famous and successful scientists and learn more about career options during the Horizons Career Fair.

Registration is open and the organising committee would like to encourage you to register and submit your posters!

This year, the attendance of 20 distinguished speakers from around the world, for example Ed Boyden (Optogenetics), Hiroaki Suga (Bio-engineering), Jean Beggs(Splicing), could be confirmed. As in previous years, speakers and participants will have many options to network and interact, for example during the wine-and-cheese poster session or the conference dinner.

The Horizons Career Fair will cover this year a wide range of opportunities for scientists in academia and industry in talks, workshops and the Speed-Dating session. Rosa Veguilla from iBiology will give the keynote lecture on science communication. The number of slots for workshops and Speed-Dating is limited, register now!

Participation in all scientific sessions and the Career Fair is free of charge! Our conference package (30 Euro for early bird registration) includes lunches, a city tour and the conference dinner and party.

Registration and further information on the event can be found on our website www.horizons.uni-goettingen.de .
