ERP-Scholarship program for study stays in the USA
The Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes annually awards 10-20 ERP-scholarships for study stays within the framework of Master’s or PhD programmes at a top US-American universities.
Funding is provided for ten to twelve-month research projects at an American university as part of the dissertation that is conducted at a German university.
Requirements:
- the last university degree must not have been obtained more than five years ago
- excellent degree
- candidates without German citizenship may apply if they are:
have acquired their higher education entrance qualification in Germany or at a German school abroad (“Bildungsinländer”),
are on an equal footing with Germans in accordance with the requirements set out in §8 BAföG or hold the nationality of an EU state or Switzerland and have obtained their last university degree (Bachelor/Master/Diplom/Staatsexamen) in Germany.
