Results: election of the doctoral student council (Promovierendenvertretung (PromV))
The results of the election of the doctoral student council for the period from 1 October 2020 to 30 September 2021, with one member to be elected per faculty, can be viewed here.
The members of the doctoral student council were elected in a free, equal and secret ballot according to the principles of election of persons (majority election) on the basis of these nominations. The election meeting took place on Thursday, 9 July 2020 as a meeting of the doctoral students via video conference (§ 7 Paragraph 1 Clause 4PromV-O), where the election was conducted by postal vote only (§7 Paragraph 1 Clause 4PromV-O), due to the the ongoing SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. The postal vote documents were sent ex officio, without the need for an application, automatically to the addresses of the doctoral students stored on eCampus.
Having a permanent contact person in the PromV is very important for every faculty in order to be able to incorporate your opinion as a doctoral student into decision-making processes and planning.
Therefore, we are happy that for this years election severel candidates of the natural and life sciences faculties have agreed to take over this important position in their faculty. Many thanks for your commitment to help shape the university.
Sadly, there were no candidates for the Faculty of Geoscience and Geography. Thus, the doctoral students of geoscience and geography have no representation in their faculty council and in the PromV. Decisions in the Faculty of Geoscience and Geography will be made without the voice of their doctoral students.
We thank all candidates and all doctoral students for their active participation in the election
and wish your voice to be heard!
