GAUSS Career Impulse Session with Dr. Jennifer Masch (Zeiss): “Multidisciplinary Thinking is Key”, 10 Sep 2021, online

We are happy to announce our GAUSS Career Impulse Session with Dr. Jennifer Masch (Zeiss).

Jennifer is an alumna of the GGNB program ‘Molecular Physiology of the Brain’. She developed STED nanoscopy of synaptic substructures in living mice in the ‘NanoBiophotonics’ lab of Prof. Stefan W. Hell at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry and received her doctoral degree in 2017.

Prior to her PhD, she studied medical engineering science at the University of Lübeck and did her Master’s thesis in an industrial setting at Carl Zeiss Meditec AG in Oberkochen. After finishing her PhD, she had worked as a postdoc in the Hell lab for one year before she made the move from academia to industry. Since 2018, she has been working as a Lead Engineer Innovation for Ophthalmic Systems and Solutions at the research & development department of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG in Berlin. Jennifer will share her insights on her career steps and her experience of working in academia and in industry, and will highlight career opportunities at Zeiss. She is looking forward to an interactive session with a lot of questions from your side! GAUSS-Career_Flyer_4seitig_09032018-1
