Publication Award by the Hans and Ilse Breuer Foundation, deadline 31 Jan 2022
For the second time, the Hans and Ilse Breuer Foundation is offering a special prize to young researchers (doctoral or post-doctoral) for outstanding publications in the research field of dementia. In the renewed call for entries, the prize for the best publication is endowed with €5,000 for the private use of the prize winner. The runner-up receives €4,000, the third-place winner €3,000, the fourth-place winner 2,000 euros and the fifth-place winner €1,000. Scientists working in a research team at one of the ten locations of the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) are eligible to apply by 31 January 2022.
Original works in the form of papers whose online or print publication date can be proven to be between 1 July 2020 and 31 December 2021 will be considered.
The award winner will be selected by a jury of international scientists who do not belong to the DZNE. In February 2022, a list of the five best candidates will be drawn up from all the publications submitted. The announcement and awarding of the prize winner will take place during a renowned scientific Alzheimer’s congress, the 20th Eibsee Meeting (23-25 March 2022).
The application publication must be submitted as a PDF and with a declaration of consent on data protection (sample on the website) to info@breuerstiftung.de by 31 January 2022. In the case of shared authorship, a declaration of consent from the non-submitting author must be included.
