ENLIGHT Summer school at University of Galway (apply until 6 Jan 2023)
From 29 May to 2 June 2023 the ENLIGHT Summer school on “Equity and Sustainability Transitions” will take place at the University of Galway and is open to MA and Doctoral students. This module is being delivered jointly between academic colleagues in the School(s) of Political Science and Sociology and Geography at the University of Galway.
Learning outcomes
- Students will gain an understanding of the concepts of equity, climate justice and sustainable transitions, and how they are linked.
- Students will be able to review sustainability transition frameworks and their inclusion in policy processes.
- Students will learn to outline how civil society, institutions (including universities) and governments can incorporate equity perspectives into their interventions that relate to sustainability transitions.
Programme
- Online assignment ahead of the summer school
- Intensive week at the University of Galway, Ireland, Monday 29 May – Friday 2 June 2023
- The week will consist of lectures, workshop sessions and a one-day field trip
- After the intensive week: submission of assignments
