Expert lunch (series): How diverse is academia? Ways to elevate the voices of marginalised people (6 Apr 2023)
The Expert Lunches are a 5-month series organized by the Berlin School of Public Engagement & Open Science to provide you with deep insights and practical tips on how to level up your engagement practice. Their goal is to foster inspiration for what is possible in Public Engagement, provide you with practical tips and gather a community of practice.
The first Expert Lunch was successfully launched with the renowned impact trainer Jamie Gallagher, followed up on by the story-telling expert Anna Ploszajski and will now bring the passionate activist researcher Franziska Sattler. She is a science communicator and diversity advocate, who has carved out a highly inspirational space, leading her own podcast and training modules. She will speak on ways to elevate the voices of marginalised people in academia.
The Expert Lunches are a monthly open-access talks that take a deep dive into different topics concerning Public Engagement, Science Communication and the best practices within engagement. These 50 min well-moderated events will be upbeat, clear and leave listeners with new perspectives and insights. Bring your lunch to these virtual gatherings and submit a question if you feel inspired.
